I am forced to warp out way way before those other guys are, so even if I can do more pure damage in a given period of time, I cannot keep it up. I guess I could use cap boosters, yeah that sounds like great fun, docking every 15 mins for new boosters (not to mention the $$$). There is simply NO WAY a blasterthron can compete with the other tier 2 BS's capwise.
Some retard is gonna say use 425's...Answer: do you think people fly Blasterthrons to stay at 80 km and snipe? No we like close range fighting. It is just sad when other ships fight better at close range than us. I feel like I'm in a tier 1 ship.

Hmm, you are right about a blasterthrons staying power versus NPC's. Heavy armortanking combined with ion cannon use too much cap. Tho removing that MWD might go some way towards getting more cap efficient. Try a large cap battery instead, it's good at improving cap recharge.
You can work around using that mwd when fighting in a group against NPC's by warping in to a gangmate only when he has gotten into position at <20km to the NPC's. By the time you get in there you will be at a decent range to do some serious damage.
Tho, as you already prophesised, I am going to tell you not to bother and use either a Raven for close range or the Megathron for long range. There is nothing I can't kill with the Megathron when it's fitted with 7x425 rails and sniping from 100km. Or, I havent met it yet at least.
I know short range is more fun, and it is also the most viableuse for the megathron, so I would gladly support your request to either 1. reduce cap booster charge 800 to at least 1/10th its size. Or, 2. Reduce cap use of large blasters by alot.
